Forklift selection basics: start with the job, not the model
Capacity alone is not enough. A good forklift selection starts with load, lift height, aisle, environment, duty cycle and energy strategy.

Selecting a forklift begins with the application. Define the real load weight and load center, required lift height, aisle and turning space, floor and ramp conditions, indoor or outdoor environment, daily operating hours, attachment needs and charging or fueling constraints. The required rated capacity may change at height or when attachments are fitted, so the machine specification should be verified for the actual configuration. The goal is not simply to choose a truck that can lift the load, but one that can perform the full job safely and productively.
